Ms. Laabidi, the president of the National School of Administration of Tunis (ENA Tunis), headed a delegation to visit BAI on November 5. Mr. Zhang Haiping, director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of BAI, welcomed the delegation and held a meeting to discuss future cooperation.

ENA Tunis is the leading public institution in the Republic of Tunisia that is providing training for high-level civil servants and senior professionals in areas such as national governance and public services, under the aegis of the Presidency of the Government of Tunisia. Mr. Zhang Haiping briefed the delegation on the basic information of BAI, including education and training, scientific research, policy consultation, and international cooperation. Ms. Laabidi pointed out that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tunisia and China, the friendly relations between the two countries have developed in a healthy and stable manner for a long time. The cooperation and exchanges between the institute and its Chinese partners can be traced back to the 1980s. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and also the 70th anniversary of the founding of ENA Tunis. Therefore, this visit is of great significance. She then detailed vision and missions, training programs and international cooperation. Finally, the two sides discussed future cooperation in various fields such as joint research, policy consultation, and holding international academic forums together.

After the meeting, the delegation toured around the campus, visited the training rooms with different functions, auditorium, library and the trainees’ dormitory, which deepened the understanding of BAI. Officials from the International Cooperation Department of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (Chinese Academy of Governance) and the Tunisian Embassy in China participated in the meeting.
