On Sep. 18, President Vinicio Peluffo of the ItalianCouncil of China’s Friend visited the Chala cemetery. Deputy President Li Yunchi received the delegation. 

Prof. Zhang Haiping made a brief introduction of the Chala Cemetery and highlighted the 11 Italian missionaries’ storyand their contribution in bridging different cultures. 

President Vinicio Peluffo spoke high of ourprotection of the precious cultural relics and expressed his gratitude for our reception.
