On 27th October in 2010, Italian president Giorgio Napolitano together with his wife visited the cemetery of Matteo Ricci in campus of BAC during his state visit to China. Being in the company of Mr. Ricca Rdo Sessa, the ambassador of Italian Embassy in China, and Mr. Xie Bohua, the deputy director-general of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in China, they were received and guided by Mr. Wang Jiangyu, the executive vice-President of BAC to show their respects to the missionaries, like Matteo Ricci, Giuseppe Castiglione and others. After the visit Mr. Wang briefly introduced Beijing Administrative College and presented the guests the picture album History Recorded by the Stones edited by BAC and the TV special program Matteo Ricci in China. Mr. President of Italy in response expressed his sincere thanks to the long-term work that BAC has been doing on the careful protection of the Cemetery and the study and publicity of Matteo Ricci and his stories in China.
