        BAC also receives visitors to the tombs of Mateo Ricci and other foreign missionaries during Ming and Qing dynasties which located in campus. They are offcially protected as the national cultural relics because of their great value and international influence. Recent years BAC has received more and more important visitors, including the former Italian President Oscar Luigi Scalfaro; the former Belgian Prime Minister Jean-Luc Dehaene; the former Portuguese President Jorge Sampaio; the former French president Valerie Giscard; Archbishop of England; officials of foreign embassy stationed in China, and various media at home and abroad. These visits have greatly improved the culture exchange and strengthened the international friendship between China and the western world.
