Speak English in 9 Days Workshop kicked off at BAI on October 11, 2021. The 2-day workshop was delivered online this year due to the pandemic concerns. Seventy full-time students of the Class 2020 and Class 2021 participated in the workshop.

Professor Sheree Lin and Professor Jim Holmes, the founders and principal teacher of the workshop, presented the tools for articulate English pronunciation and introduced American culture to the students.

The workshop applies the strategies for motor learning to learning English pronunciation and speaking, and adopts three essentials for clear pronunciation which are open your mouth, use your tongue, and finish your words. Students honed their pronunciation by oral practice drills and boosted confidence in their English speaking capability. The workshop has been held for 12 years since its inception in 2007, winning popularity among students and faculty members in BAI.
