On June 6th, a delegation headed by Mr. Igor Saveleve, deputy chief of the Presidential office, Republic of Tatarstan, visited BAI.

Vice President Han Jiugen extended warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the history, main responsibilities as well as other information of BAI for the guests during the meeting. Mr.Igor Savelev thanked Han Jiugen for the warm reception and considerate arrangements offered by BAI and said this visit was impressive for the delegation. Besides the amity of the Chinese people, they also appreciated the integration of the tradition and modernization in China. Later, he introduced the basic situation of Tatarstan. Mr. Aleksandr Belov, head of the department for public service and personnel of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and Mr.Igor Privalov, Director of the School of Public Administration of Kazan Federal University shared their experience in the area of the public servant training in Kazan. Both sides reached agreements on future exchanges and cooperation.

Tatarstan republic is a part of the Russian Federation. In recent years, it attached great importance to carrying out exchange and cooperation with China. Both sides have various cooperation in trade and economy, culture, science, and technology. The two-way trade volumes are growing with better friendship between the two peoples. Tatarstan plays an indispensable role in the economy, S&T and education, and culture in the Russian Federation. Many international events were taking place there. Tatarstan with many international-renowned universities values education and training. For instance, Kazan Federal University boasts many well-known figures across the world, such as Lenin, Balakirev and Minsky.

The delegation also visited the campus and the graveyard of Matteo Ricci and other foreign missionaries.
