Scholars from the Institute for Far Eastern Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences visited BAI

From September, 17th to 25th, senior scholars from the Institute for Far Eastern Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, Mamaeva Natalia and Sotnikova Irina, were invited for a visit in BAI. Vice President Han Jiugen met the two scholars and spoke highly of the long-term cooperation between the institute and BAI while exploring new model of cooperation between the two sides in the future.

 

On September, 22nd, the guests were accompanied by members from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of BAI to visit the Institute of Contemporary China Studies of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and participated in the academic exchange there for half a day. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Zhang Xingxing, Deputy Director of the Institute, and exchanged with several directors of teaching and research departments of the institute. During the discussion, representatives from both sides communicated over issues such as Cultural Revolution and development of Sino-Russia (Soviet Union) relationship from the 20th century to the mid-21st century.

 

Besides, the Russian scholars also visited Tsinghua University for academic exchange and lectured at China Youth University for Political Sciences.

 

BAI maintained long-term cooperation with the Institute for Far Eastern Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences. The visit of the two scholars further consolidated our friendship.
